Sinking (Tornado)
02:52
|
|||
The cold and the wind
drifts that blow
pines in the forest are covered in snow
Ice on the wood
Logs on the stove
Blizzard is blinding, I'm here in my home
-
This floating and sinking
We've landed were breathing
the snow comes cascading down
the horrors and shrieking
the hopes and the seeking
we've lost all we know in the clouds

Anchorage
05:00
|
|||
I'm headin out
I'm headin out, of Michigan
I'm headin out, on an aeroplane, to Anchorage
To see auroras in the night
Away from city lights
Won't you come along
Do I have to go alone
I'm movin out
I'm movin out to Brooklyn
I'm packin up and I'm takin all my shit
To see the New York city lights
Away from starry skies
Won't you come along
Or do I have to go alone
oh well

The Hill
03:50
|
|||
Way
on my own
waiting so I,
for me.
too long.
I go
waiting for the world.
Wait, waiting so
I wait, for you.
So long.

Mirror

Written by Sylvia Plath
Mirror-
I am silver and exact. I have no preconceptions.
Whatever I see I swallow immediately
Just as it is, unmisted by love or dislike.
I am not cruel, only truthful-
The eye of the little god, four cornered.
Most of the time I meditate on the opposite wall.
It is pink, with speckles. I have looked at it so long
I think it is a part of my heart. But it flickers.
Faces and darkness separate us over and over.
Now I am a lake. A woman bends over me,
Searching my reaches for what she really is.
Then she turns to those liars, the candles or the moon.
I see her back, and reflect it faithfully.
She rewards me with tears and an agitation of hands.
I am important to her. She comes and goes.
Each morning it is her face that replaces the darkness.
In me she has drowned a young girl, and in me an old woman
Rises toward her day after day, like a terrible fish.

I'm goin off alone
05:22
|
|||
This breeze is slow wind and snow
brushing the window
I used to sit by.
Time goes by right passed my eyes have seen nothing
as beautiful, as you.
This crashing and beating
on glass people fleeing
their fear I feel in, you too.
Lips oh so blue my arms holding you, but I know
I'm goin off alone.
My only wish is to die
die with the trees
for my body, the bark
and my soul, the leaves

Sore eyes (starlight)
02:57
|
|||
My sore eyes
from daylight
are waiting for the night time
-
Can't stop my story now
I've only waited for this moment

Tuesday
03:15
|
|||
There we were
standing there
the pouring rain
and moonlit glow
"just don't close your eyes."
Lift your head
and we'll stare
the golden moon
calls out to us.
"so don't close your eyes."
It's only December
A wasted November
Full moon of December
Burns rain clouds away

Summer Weather?
03:36
|
|||
Been waiting around for that
sunny summer weather
Through ice and snow, sleet and rain
Gone a while and now your
back again
and I was blue
Missin you
Feel as though my soul has lifted
I take off my crochet halo
and stow it away
Sun upon my face
is beautiful.

House Fires pt. II
04:36
|
|||
These walls made of stone
have stories to tell
the orchard
is over-grown
with black berries and thorns
The rocks from the soil
are centuries old
These walls
These walls
Have stories to tell
This creaking.

Frigid Lake
06:07
|

Wave upon the frigid lake
I love
So long
have you traveled
from Canada

Come now, Sit around
04:59
|
|||
Sit around a little longer baby
and waste your time
got me feelin like I'm, gunna get a gun a load it
go out and waste, the whole damn town
didn't get along with them
anyhow.
Been down thinking about
the way things used to be
well, I don't care anymore
